Fare/Share has a lot of cool features to make sharing a cab easier, faster and more fun!

  • Immediate or Future Journeys – Whether you’re looking to Fare/Share right now or next week, Fare/Share enables you to share and manage your journeys, as well as syncing with your Calendar for future journey suggestions. So it’s ideal for getting home at the end of a good night out, or for planning your journey to the airport with as much notice as you can.
  • Automated Meeting Point Selection – When Fare/Share finds a match, it gives you and your cabmate a list of public meeting points to choose from.
  • Quick Identification – Want to upload a pic of yourself so your cabmate can find you? Fare/Share lets you. Not comfortable uploading a pic? No problem! Just choose a colour and an article of clothing (like “red” and “shirt” or “black” and “jacket”).
  • Control who you Share with – Fare/Share will always show you who’s around to share with, but it’s totally up to you who you choose. Fare/Share displays a user’s name, age bracket and gender to help you make your decision.
  • Push your Share Request (Twitter or Facebook) – Want your followers to know where you’re heading? Just choose the share option along with twitter or facebook and Fare/Share will push a message to your Twitter/Facebook account for all your followers to see. Who knows, you might find a cabmate that way too.
  • Call a Cab – If there are no Black Cabs around and you need to pre-book a private hire minicab, Fare/Share has just the tool for you. The “Call a Cab” feature will give you the contact number of vetted operators local to your GPRS position at the time – one tap and you’re away.
  • Chat Functionality – Fare/Share enables you to chat directly (but without giving out your digits) with your cabmate, whether it’s to tell them you’ve arrived at the meeting point early or to let them know that you’ve already booked the cab
